About this pattern

A round Viking shield hung in front of two crossed long-handled axes. The shield is painted in four quarters, red and white turn about, inside a dark gray rim, with a round gray boss shining paler in the middle. The two brown handles cross behind it and come out at all four corners; each axe has one broad gray blade with a curved cutting edge, paler along that edge, set near the top and facing outward. The shape mirrors left to right; only the painted quarters turn round the boss. Dark brown outline round every part. Full crosses only. It is 62 by 58 stitches and uses seven thread colors.
