About this pattern

A ruby-throated hummingbird hovers at the right, facing left, its long straight bill reaching the stamens of a fuchsia flower that hangs at the upper left. The bird has a green head and back, a red throat, a white breast, a dark green tail, two raised gray wings and a dark eye with a white glint. The fuchsia hangs on a green stalk from a pair of pointed leaves with darker veins: red sepals flare to a point at each side over a purple bell, and three red stamens hang below it, the middle one longest. Dark brown outline. Full crosses only. It is 47 by 37 stitches and uses eight thread colors.
