About this pattern

One ocean wave at the moment it breaks, seen from the side. The back of the wave climbs in steps out of a flat strip of sea, the crest turns white, and the lip curls forward and down over a round, open hollow. The water is a mid blue that pales in two bands toward the inside of the curl, and four pale streaks of light lie on the sea. A dark blue outline runs round the wave and the sea, and the hollow under the curl is left as bare fabric. The crest is stitched in white, so it shows best on a natural or colored fabric. Full crosses only. It is 51 by 30 stitches and uses five thread colors.

51 stitches wide by 30 high: 753 full cross stitches in 5 DMC colors (Dark Baby Blue 322, Medium Navy Blue 311, Baby Blue 3755 and 2 more).
