A whole thistle plant on one straight stem: an open purple flower at the top, a second open flower on a long branch to the left and a closed bud with a purple tip on a shorter branch to the right. Each head is a round green bulb crossed with a darker green lattice, and two spiky leaves spread level at the foot. Dark brown outline. Full crosses only. It is 41 by 62 stitches and uses six thread colors.
