About this pattern

Two brown stags, which can as well be read as reindeer, face each other across a small green fir tree, the way an old sampler sets a pair of animals either side of a tree. Each is seen from the side with a pair of branching antlers, one gold stitch for an eye, a short tail and one front leg lifted; the second is the mirror of the first. The fir has four tiers on a thin trunk and stands on a small mound. Flat color with no outline, one thread to a part. Full crosses only. It is 59 by 29 stitches and uses three thread colors.

59 stitches wide by 29 high: 537 full cross stitches in 3 DMC colors (Very Dark Hazelnut Brown 869, Dark Pine Green 3362, Very Dark Old Gold 3829).
