About this pattern

A pair of cardinals perched beak to beak on one bare branch, with a cap of snow on each end of it. The male, on the left, is red all over with a black mask, a darker red wing and tail and an orange beak; the female, on the right, is a warm golden brown with red in her crest, wing and tail and a smaller dark patch at the beak. The two birds are the same drawing turned to face each other, both with a pointed crest and orange feet on the branch. A small wide piece for a card front or an oblong frame. Dark brown outline. Full crosses only. It is 62 by 32 stitches and uses eight thread colors.
