About this pattern

A square border made of four yellow school pencils laid end to end, one along each side, all pointing the same way round. Each has a pink eraser, a gray metal band, a yellow barrel that is pale down the middle with gold edges, a cone of bare wood and a dark point that touches the side of the next pencil's eraser, so the frame is closed on all four sides. The middle, 33 by 33 stitches, is bare cloth. Dark brown outline. Full crosses only. It is 47 by 47 stitches and uses six thread colors.
