About this pattern

A shield with a flat top and a pointed foot, filled edge to edge with tartan: squares of light blue, dark blue and green, crossed by fine navy lines and by fine gold lines that part the cloth into panels. A gold rim two stitches wide runs all round it inside a dark brown outline. There is no other charge on the shield. The two halves mirror exactly. Full crosses only. It is 37 by 46 stitches and uses six thread colors.

37 stitches wide by 46 high: 1,274 full cross stitches in 6 DMC colors (Medium Navy Blue 311, Medium Topaz 783, Dark Baby Blue 322 and 3 more).
