About this pattern

A square Christmas border that goes all the way around: a band stitched solid in white between an outer and an inner red line, with a sprig of holly turning each corner. Each sprig is a knot of three round red berries, each with a pink glint, and two prickly dark green leaves that grow away from the berries, one along each side of the frame; every leaf is two greens with a pale rib down its middle and ends in a point. The middle is left bare, 29 by 29 stitches, room for an initial, a short greeting or a small motif of your own.
